Below you will find links to research projects by the Tufts Kinsmen Association and its members. Through this research, we hope to increase our understanding, set right any genealogical conflicts or errors, and contribute to future volumes of the Tufts Kinsmen book. Please contact us if you have research project ideas or information that could assist with these objectives.

Following the Resource Projects section, we have listed additional links to resources that members have found useful in researching Tufts families. We highly recommend Tufts Kinsmen by Herb Adams as an essential starting point in Tufts family research.

RESEARCH PROJECTS

#1 Irish Tufts Families
Some families in the Peter Tufts (immigrant) group do not believe that they are descendants of Peter Tufts of England. They hold that their ancestor came to the Americas from Ireland.

#2 Dwight Tufts
We are looking to return a family photograph to any descendants of Dwight Tufts, son Albert Smith Tufts and Elizabeth (Chase) Bartlett (Betsey, widow of Ebenezer Bartlett), born 1851.

#3 Ataxia in Tufts families
We are assisting one of our Canadian family members in her quest to find Tufts relatives who have been diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia SCA 7.

#4 Electronic Version of TuftsKinsmen Books V1 & V2
